Hydro Power (HP) Section

Key functions of Hydro Power (HP) Section include:

• • • All matters related to Hydro Power Projects and their issues.
    • All technical and miscellaneous matters of the office of Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Waters (PCIW).
    • Matters relating to:

(a)          Trans-Border, International Water Issues; and
(b)          Indus Waters Treaty  (IWT) 1960.

• Coordination with provincial Governments for  execution of Hydropower Projects.
• National Water Policy (NWP).
• Monitoring and Coordinaiton of all hydropower projects including Diamer Basha Dam (DBD).
• Preparations for review meeting on relevant issues.
• Miscellaneous matters related to hydropower.
